Bit-By-Bit
Not referring to the bits and bytes here HAHAHA..
Depending on the scope of the project, we may look at almost each configuration one-by-one, so you’d have an understanding what it is, why we leave enabled or disabled, and what impact it would have to your environment. -
Growth
By the end of the project, you’ll have a better understanding of what was achieved and how to move forward. I’ll be there to answer all of your questions to the best of my ability to ensure you have a solid foundational knowledge.
FAQs
What is MDM?
MDM = Mobile Device Management
In at its utmost simplicity, MDM allows the company to manage the devices, which the admin can decide to allow or not allow viewing of certain company data.
Why Microsoft Intune?
No product is perfect. With that said, the Microsoft Ecosystem is INSANE! For example, if you have Intune and their Defender for Endpoint license, then the combo becomes very cohesive. When you enroll a device into Intune, it will automatically show up on the Defender Portal for you to manage it further. There’s no complicated connectors that you have to set up - only need to enable the feature.
Can you help with migrating to another mdm - not intune?
No, my expertise is on Microsoft Intune and the Enterprise Microsoft suite.
Are you Microsoft Certified?
No, I’m not. I believe in transparency and don’t want to mislead you. However, I know Microsoft’s best practices because I grind those documentations from their Learn Portal and attend multiple of their seminars, webinars, and etc.
Why use an MDM?
Let’s use the example of an employee leaving the company. Wouldn’t you want to be able to remove this user’s mailbox from this user’s phone as soon as that person leaves without needing to physically touch the user’s phone?
Or how about you set a condition that the device must have a PIN to access your company’s data? Any user without a PIN cannot access your data, making your data more secure from unauthorized access.
Microsoft Sucks, why do you love and advocate to consolidate to just the microsoft ecosystem?
All products have their pros and cons - perfection doesn’t exist in this world. I don’t “love” Microsoft, but if you’ve last checked the Gartner Magic Quadrants or deem them credible, then you know that Microsoft continue to score highly for their various products, including but not limited to Intune and their Defender XDR suite. I find that the Microsoft Ecosystem to be quite powerful if not very powerful, easy to configure, and easy to use. Their products are cohesive, so they talk to each other, which makes alerting very easy. At the end of the day, it comes down to what works best for your environment that is easier to use to save time.
Are you a Microsoft Partner?
No, I’m not. I’m an independent. Maybe one day when I have a large enough team to be an actual MSP (Managed Service Provider)…
